Spotter John Close celebrates a win at Madison (WI) International Speedway with Rich Bickle and the Terminal Trucking Motorsports team.

Since 1995, John Close has spotted more than 150 NASCAR Cup, Busch and Truck Series events at tracks ranging from coast to coast – from Daytona International Speedway in Florida to Infineon Raceway in California.

Close has also spotted countless pavement late model stock car races winning both the prestigious Snowball Derby in Pensacola, FL and the Miller Lite Nationals at Slinger, WI with driver Rich Bickle.

The win came in Lia's eighth division start while Close was making his 80th career start in the Truck Series as a spotter.

In 2008, Close served as the raceday spotter for NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Donny Lia in the No. 71 TRG Chevrolet winning the NCTS event at Mansfield (OH) Motorsports Park in May. Close also spotted select NASCAR Camping World and late model short track events events for driver Richard Johns.
