Spotter John Close celebrates a win at Madison (WI) International Speedway with Rich Bickle and the Terminal Trucking Motorsports team.

Since 1995, John Close has spotted nearly 150 NASCAR Cup, Busch and Truck Series events at tracks ranging from coast to coast – from Daytona International Speedway in Florida to Infineon Raceway in California.

Close has also spotted countless pavement late model stock car races winning both the prestigious Snowball Derby in Pensacola, FL and the Miller Lite Nationals at Slinger, WI with driver Rich Bickle.

The win came in Lia's eighth division start while Close was making his 80th career start in the Truck Series as a spotter.

In 2008, Close will serve as the raceday spotter at all NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events not held in conjunction with Sprint Cup for Donny Lia in the No. 71 TRG Chevrolet and Andy Lally in the No. 7 TRG Chevrolet. He will also spot select NASCAR Camping World events for driver Richard Johns in the No. 59 Sadler Hamilton Dodge Intrepid.
